About Us

The Admiral is Mission Group's newest bar and restaurant, the fourth venue that the company has opened since 2014. It features four bar areas and one of the city's largest patios, a sprawling, 2,000 square foot landscape looking out directly to historic Dupont Circle.

The Admiral offers happy hour seven days per week from 4 pm to 7 pm, including half priced oysters and a variety of other generous food and drink specials. The dinner menu features modern American fare, including a variety of New England-style seafood options as well as a few southern touches.

As with all Mission Group venues, we seek to be your go-to spot for any and all types of events ranging from casual birthday parties to game watches to full scale corporate buy-outs. We treat each and every event with care and take pride in our lightning fast response time to inquiries

On Friday and Saturday nights after dinner and game watches have ended, we welcome some of the city's best DJs to keep things going strong right until close. No dress code or bottle service, just an amazing high energy and unpretentious late night experience. 

Brunch will begin in early 2020 and include a bottomless option. Groups are always welcome and the patio bar is the perfect spot for post-brunch drinks.

Private Events

The Admiral is one of the premier Washington DC venues for events of all sizes. With multiple event spaces and a prime location directly on Dupont Circle, The Admiral is the perfect location for your next event. The Admiral's two floors, multiple large bar areas, dining room and spacious outdoor patio allows it to host events like birthdays, alumni events, late night wedding after-parties, corporate receptions, fundraisers, group brunches and dinners and more.

As much of our event business is repeat customers, The Admiral goes all out to ensure that your event is seamless! The events team will work with you to select food and beverage options, decorations and more. Our goal is to make planning and executing an event as easy and stress-free as possible for the hosts.

Unlike other venues, The Admiral does not charge room rental fees. Depending on the desired space, a minimum may be required. For larger events, The Admiral is available for buyouts.

The Admiral's sister restaurants, Mission Dupont, Hawthorne and Mission Navy Yard can also accommodate large groups in a variety of event spaces.
